ANCIENT INDIAN PRAYER
When I was young my prayers to God
said, "Lord give me strength to change the world"
When I was near the middle-aged
I realized that I had
changed a single soul, then my prayer
said
"Lord give me the strength to change
those who are close to me,
family and friends."
Now that I am old, my prayer is

"Lord, grant me the grace to
change myself."

And if I had prayed for this
I would not have wasted my life.

no intention of continuing to waste the best part of myself.
